At High Peak Budo our instructors are not anyone who has gained a black belt as part of the TBCI all instructors are also examined in their teaching abilities, their understanding of the history of the art and first aid. Different levels are awarded ranging from doshi, renshi and finally kyoshi. To apply for Doshi the first of these teaching grades the the instructor must have held 1st dan for at least 2 years and be nominated by their regional director.
